Ch. 7 - Business Marketing
As far as business marketing it plays a pretty big role in this area as a lot of businesses use Hondas products to conduct business such as using the own product to conduct business from place to place as well as trying to make some type of money from selling Hondas products. What I mean as using the product as a form of transportation is how some Hondas have been chosen to be used as one of the more recent hybrid versions of yellow cabs. Then of course the way of certified Honda dealerships were they resell Hondas cars. Honda is responsible for many business goods such as major equipment, accessory equipment and as well as component part. An example of each would be jet planes, engines and generator that Honda manufactures would go under major equipment. Lawn mowers and snow blowers would go under accessory equipment.

Ch. 8 - Segmenting and Targeting Markets
Honda has segmented its market in a way that is its accord and CR-V is for the upper class, the civic is for upper middle class and/or middle class. Honda has always targeted upper class groups, upper middle class and middle class. Also been very successful in maintaining its target markets and providing with the best bang for your buck. They also have begun marketing a car in India called the Honda Brio which is great for families in India which can usually sit 5 or more people.

Ch. 11 - Developing and Managing Products
As we all know, every year car company's release new models of there cars. Their new product comes with more new features and usually looks completely different than the model that was released last year. For example, with this years product of Honda Civics their has been plenty of changes to its previous predecessor. The new coupe offers some mildly tweaked styling, some new features like push-button start, Honda's innovative LaneWatch technology and a new multimedia system on top trim levels that introduce capacitive touch technology to the Civic lineup. Inside, the big change for 2014 is the introduction of a 7-inch Display Audio capacitive touch-sensitive screen for the EX, EX-L and Si trims audio system. Honda says that the new system allows for screen manipulation much like an iPhone, with pinch to zoom and left and right swipe to change screens.

Honda is considered as a consumer product as it should be because Honda does an amazing job satisfying customers needs and wants which is the most important thing when trying to market and sell a product. I can consider Honda automobiles to be a shopping and speciality product. As I've come to learn automobiles aren't the only branch of products Honda has to offer. It is also responsible for Acura automobiles, Honda power sports and Honda Jet as well as Honda power equipment. In different countries there are different available products.

With its great personal selling through all of its car dealerships Honda shows us an example of how great they are at peer-to-peer communication to sell its vehicles. Honda is also responsible for many auto shows throughout the year. Which in turn gets them a lot of store traffic. Honda is always making sales but towards the end of the year they yield a high amount of vehicles sold because this is especially when the cars are at the cheapest because they have to get rid of that years model to start bringing in the next years model so they start selling the models at very cheap prices with low APRs.

I noticed that Honda's advertising techniques were common in the car company field such as advertising with highway billboards or normal commercials on TV but the new advertising scheme Honda has been using was commercials on Internet videos like YouTube. They've also had a big impact on advertising on magazines and newspapers. They've also marketed the Hispanic demographic as well, as its inexpensive fuel efficient vehicles have been advertised a lot in Spanish television and spanish magazines. This years advertising campaign was to introduce the all new Honda odyssey and with the likes of Neil Patrick Harris and Rainn Wilson lending their voices to the commercial they're slogan for this advertising campaign has been "Start Something Special" they also had the likes of popular mobile applications Angry Birds to help.

Ch : 15 - Retailing
My local Honda dealership was just around the corner from where I lived which was actually the dealership called paragon Honda located on northern blvd In woodside,queens. The first thing I noticed when I went in is how many cars there actually was even in the showrooms and everything. Then there was a gentleman by the name of Robert wearing a suit asking if I needed help. I just pretty much told him how I'm in college and told him all about the blog he gladly let me take my time to look around. Later on I noticed him talking to a family of 4 trying to convince them to buy the Honda odyssey and also noticed that he was speaking fluent Spanish. That is great because Woodside is a very diverse neighborhood with a lot of Hispanics living here. Overall I liked my experience at the showroom and will consider getting a test drive on that 2013 Civic Si.

Chapter 5 - Developing a Global Vision
Hondas global vision is to continue producing the highest quality, yet at a reasonable price. The global vision they are aiming for is to expand to wider ranges of the world such as Europe and the Middle East on the top of their lists. They also want to put out the correct vehicles for the correct environments and cultures. Even certain parts of the world are demanded the specific vehicle make such as Europe which is demanding the Hybrid version of the accord Honda is producing. While in the Middle East it wouldn't make sense to demand the hybrid so they are producing more SUVs for the terrain. As you can see Honda does their homework. They have also continued to sell their lawn mowers and and power generators which are good for the environment.

Even though Honda is a car company it has been intricate part of the American society and has had a great impact on almost every single age group from 18-65. With this economy it's so difficult to save up and actually buy a quality car that's where Honda comes in as they have been making high quality cheap cars for those people that can't afford to spend top buck. Honda has also had his impact in different cultures, environments, and lifestyles. And they also go after specific ages with their cars for example for ages 18-25 they target them with sporty cars like the civic or even the more sporty edition the "Si" which means "Sports Injected" or even the accord. Then if they're targeting the families then they would try and get them to buy an SUV or even a Mini-Van like the Honda Odyssey. If they're targeting working people who work in farms they would target them with a pick-up truck like the All New Ridgeline.

They have implemented an ethic programs to prevent and find out of any violations on the basic business ethics. Society is probably the most important facet to the company. Honda has been taking global warming more serious than most car companies. They are trying to become the worlds leader in environmental and energy efficient cars. They are committing themselves to make products that will produce low CO2 emissions which are usually one of the gases that is bad for the environment.
They have introduced a new line of Honda Civics; the Honda Civic Hybrid which is an environmental friendly car. This car has many advantages to the previous Honda Civics such as battery capacity, improvement on performance and a more comfortable braking system. Which makes is easier to brake. This car is very fuel efficient, an energy saver and has a better MPG then other cars in line with the Civic Hybrid. As you can see Honda is always looking to improve in its market with ethics and always has its eye on the people

Honda is known to be of one of the worlds biggest motorcycle and engines making company since 1959. Within 5 years, it became the largest motorcycle distributors in the market at that time.
